Killeavy Castle Estate

Just enjoyed a relaxing overnight stay in the stunning, contemporary hotel. The hotel has been imaginatively designed and renovated, with the new buildings complementing the original castle and buildings. The interior decor is a great mix of original stone, natural colors with splash of the colour. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant last night and a super breakfast this morning with a great variety of local produce freshly cooked and beautifully presented. On arrival we were made very welcome, with a friendly efficient team checking us in and explaining the details of our stay. Eugene highlighted this friendly welcome and approach, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay, confirming our dinner & Spa reservations and getting us coffee in the lounge. During dinner & breakfast James was a friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative presence on both occasions. He advised us on menu choices, helped with advice on coeliac options and was extremely knowledgeable on the hotel’s history, development and its role the local area. It was refreshing to see someone so committed to their customers and so invested in his job. He is a credit to Killeavey Castle

We stayed at this hotel in December 2024 attending a function. My wife and I checked in dropped off our bags and continued to the function. The mini bar items were laid out on the table and we realised as there was a price list you had to pay for the items. We checked out the next morning and around an hour later we were contacted to say we were going to be charged £26 for items we did not take. On contacting the hotel we were told that housekeeping had said items were taken and as we’d not taken a photo of the items when we arrived we had no way off proving we didn’t take them. They said they would look into it and get back to us. I’m still waiting.!! I’ve also emailed the hotel twice and no reply. For a hotel of this standard it’s unacceptable. My advice is if you’re going to stay, take a photo off the mini bar table.

Took my husband for a birthday treat. Never been before so didnt know what to expect but the staff were friendly, the room was clean, modern and spacious and the spa was relaxing. We had a lovely walk round the grounds and surrounding area and viewed the Farm shop on site which is small but has plenty of local produce. We especially loved the breakfast and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing overnight stay.

A wonderful getaway ! Such a beautiful setting , the hotel is sympathetically designed and we loved how modern comfort blended with history and nature . From our room with a view over the walled garden, to dinner at gullion restaurant , to walking the estate - it felt like a full refresh despite only being a one night stay. Staff are a real highlight - friendly and helpful and yet not overbearing . We are already planning our return stay!

We had a fantastic stay. I loved how eco-considerate the hotel was, sorely lacking in other hotels. The customer service was excelllent. The thermal spa was a lovely way to spend some time. As hotel breakfasts go, it was the nicest I've had in a long time. Highly recommend 👌

Fabulous hotel. Everything from check in to departure was wonderful and the warm and welcoming staff are a credit to the hotel. The location is stunning with lots of areas to explore. We ate in the bistro bar which was delicious and breakfast next morning in the restaurant was very good.The rooms are lovely and spacious with nice little touches added. Looking forward to my next visit already.
